Volunteer in 2016 and help communities in Madagascar

“"It has been an incredibly rich, enjoyable and worthwhile experience. AMI is small in size and its attention to providing a personalised placement for every individual makes it UNIQUE and wonderful to work with as a volunteer "

Madagascar is a treasure-trove of nature and culture which, if ignored by our generation, will slide into greater isolation and poverty, with further destruction of its valuable forests and resources.

2015 and 2016 opportunities
AMI placements available from 3 weeks - 3 months. Please email to find out where you could be volunteering.

Access Madagascar Initiative (AMI) is a UK based non profit organisation, working with children, young people and communities in Madagascar helping them through shared development projects and access to education.

In Madagascar AMI works under an official 'Accord de Siege' to help disadvantaged communities, teach English, train teachers, host English clubs in schools libraries, hospitals and conservation organisations. AMI also works with communities, donors and international school groups, to help build learning facilities like classrooms, libraries as well as sanitation facilities like toilets and showers.

We work closely with charities based in Madagascar and the UK, and were founded to continue the Dodwell Trust volunteer programme.

You can help: We offer volunteering opportunities that will transport you to the heart of Madagascar and its people. Prices start from just £695 for 3 weeks.
